| Japanese Garden, Lily Ponds |
 |
| “Anger Management” spent nearly three weeks constructing a set for a Zen monastery on a meadow in the Lily Ponds. The gong structure from our Japanese Garden was copied directly, although the gong itself was made double the size of the real gong, and the wall and gate into the Zen Garden were recreated as part of the monastery entrance. The road in front of the actual Japanese Garden was covered in dirt to create the appearance of a country lane. The company spent four days filming, one at the actual Japanese Garden, where the car containing Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler arrives (and, hurriedly, departs), and the other three, including a fight sequence with John C. Reilly, in the set by the Lily Ponds. |
