Seventy five feet wide, the lawn extends nearly 600 feet, with a baroque Italian stone fountain at one end and the circular drive of the Huntington Gallery at the other. Along each side are 17th century Italian limestone statues depicting figures from mythology. A very formal space, the sides of the lawn are lined with camellias, azaleas, oak trees and palms. |
